STEP 1 – REGISTER ON THE WEBSITE (MANDATORY)
Being in Discord DOES NOT register you.
All players must complete registration on the official VBA website.

If you are not registered, you are NOT eligible to play or be rostered.
Important:
If you registered recently and do not see your name listed, refresh the page and re-register. We do not use cookies and some players may have reached an outdated registration page.
STEP 2 – JOIN THE OFFICIAL VBA DISCORD (MANDATORY)
Discord is required for:

No Discord + No Registration = NOT ELIGIBLE
STEP 3 – MAKE YOUR DISCORD NAME MATCH YOUR GAMERTAG
This helps coaches and league staff identify you quickly.
Example:
PSN/Xbox/2K Name: Jackmouve
Discord Name: Jackmouve or something very close.
Players with unrelated Discord names are harder to identify and recruit.
STEP 4 – UPLOAD YOUR NBA 2K26 PLAYER CARD
All players should post their registered NBA 2K26 build/player card in:

This allows coaches and scouts to evaluate:
🏀 Position
🏀 Archetype
🏀 Height/Weight
🏀 Attributes
🏀 Strengths & Fit
If coaches cannot see your build, recruiting becomes much harder.
STEP 5 – ENTER THE RECRUITING & TRANSFER PORTAL
Looking for a team?

Introduce yourself and include:

STEP 6 – ATTEND OPEN RUNS / TRYOUTS
Open Runs are where many players earn roster spots.
🕕 Tuesdays & Thursdays
🕕 6:00 PM PT
Players should be ONLINE by 5:45 PM PT and ready to play.
This gives coaches time to:
👀 Scout talent
👀 Evaluate IQ and chemistry
👀 Fill open roster spots
👀 Build competitive teams
Be ON TIME.
Late arrivals may miss court placement or scouting opportunities.
STEP 7 – CONTACT COACHES / TEAM CAPTAINS
Many teams recruit directly.
If you see a team you want to join:
📬 Reach out to the coach or captain
📬 Introduce yourself
📬 Let them know your position and availability
📬 Be active and responsive
Coaches are looking for ACTIVE players, not inactive names on a roster.
STEP 8 – UNDERSTAND ROSTER LOCKS
The VBA uses roster and schedule locks.
⏰ Roster / Schedule Lock:
Tuesdays & Thursdays – 12:00 NOON PT
Once lock hits:
🔒 Rosters may freeze
🔒 Scheduling finalizes
🔒 New additions may have to wait
Do not wait until the last minute.
Get registered and active NOW.

Before asking for a team, make sure you have:

✅ Matched Discord name to gamertag

✅ Stayed active and responsive
The VBA Summer League is built around active players, organized teams, real basketball systems, and competitive league play.
If you want a roster spot, show up, be active, and get seen.

If you are not ready for league basketball yet, that is okay, but please come back when you are ready to commit.

There is no benefit to joining a roster if you cannot commit to practicing and being available on scheduled game days.
